polidex — Terms of service
Version: 2026-08-08 · Draft, pre-release
What polidex is
A game about collecting politicians you meet in real life. It is under development and is not yet publicly available.
Your account
You need a working email address, and you must be 16 or older.
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. If you think somebody else has it, change it in the app — a password change signs out every other device.
What you may not do
- impersonate anyone, or upload someone else's photograph as your own;
- upload content that is unlawful, or that harasses or endangers anyone;
- use the app to break the law, or to organise anything unlawful;
- attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours;
- automate the app to create accounts or content in bulk.
Content rules will grow as the game does. When they change, the version at the top changes and you will be asked to accept the new text.
The catch, and consent
A catch requires the politician's agreement, confirmed by them on the spot. Exactly how that confirmation works is not yet decided. Two things are already the rule: without agreement there is no catch, and it is not a player's job to catch someone who does not want to be caught.
What follows from that: you may not follow someone, lie in wait for them, or corner them until they say yes. A refusal is part of the game, not an obstacle in it.
If a photograph is taken — together or otherwise — note this separately: somebody agreeing to be in a picture has not thereby given you the right to publish it anywhere. Detailed rules on what may be published, and where, will be set out here before any of it ships.
Ending it
You may delete your account at any time under Settings. What happens then is set out in the privacy notice.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Until a moderation and appeal process is published here, write to us and we will answer.
No warranty
polidex is provided as it is, during development, without any guarantee of availability or of your data surviving. Do not rely on it for anything that matters yet.
Law
Hungarian law applies.
